The production range of Lichtgitter CZ, which is comprised of forge-welded gratings, pressure-locked gratings, floor sheet sections and spiral staircases, includes plastic gratings made on fibre-glass basis (GFK), owing to which the company strengthens its leading position among floor grating manufacturers. The GFK grating is comprised of resin, reinforcement - glass fibres, additives and pigments.
Components
The basis of a grating reinforced with glass fibres is resin, reinforcement, additives and pigments.
GFK grating types - cast and extended
Construction of cast GFK grating
In case GFK gratings, components are cast in layers into the prepared mould which determines the size of meshes, the thickness and height of bars. Glass fibres are inserted between individual layers. The whole mould with cast substance and glass fibres is heated, which causes the grating to harden. After cooled, the GFK grating panel is extruded from the mould and adjusted to the required size.
Cast GFK gratings: GFK-K, GFK-G, GFK-S
Cast sanded GFK gratings: GFK-BK, GFK-BQ, GFK-BKO
Extended GFK gratings: GFK-P2 gratings
Adjusting feet
If no load-bearing structure is available, adjusting feet (screws) made of polypropylene may be used in adjustable heights. Depending on the grating load and type, 4 adjusting feet per square metre are used.
